Policy AimsRoyston Cricket Club will ensure the safety and protection of all children involved in playing or training with Royston Cricket Club through adherence to the Child Protection guidelines adopted by Royston Cricket Club. Royston Cricket Club believe that all children have a right to protection, and the needs of disabled children and others who may be particularly vulnerable must be taken into account. Royston Cricket Club are committed to promote best practice throughout the club with all staff/volunteers who may come into contact with children involved in playing or training at all age levels. Royston Cricket Club recognises that anyone may have the potential to abuse children in some way and that all reasonable steps are taken to ensure unsuitable people are prevented from working with children. Royston Cricket Club will appoint a Child Protection Officer who will provide up to date guidance and support to the club, its staff/volunteers and the children within its care. Best Practice The aim of the Royston Cricket Club Child Protection Policy is to promote best practice: Declaration This Policy will be reviewed on an annual basis at the Royston Cricket Club Annual General Meeting. The undersigned will oversee the implementation of the Child Protection Policy and take all necessary steps to ensure it is adhered to.
